Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi enjoys an impressive approval rate of 80 per cent in Odisha which would help the BJP do better in the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in the State.
Pradhan had earlier claimed that the BJP would bag 15 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha. He, however, has not yet spelt out how many Assembly seats his party is expecting to get this time.
Odisha has got 147 Assembly seats. In 2019, the BJP got only 23 seats. It strength reduced to 22 after it lost the Baleswar by-election
“The effect of Modi’s juggernaut and his working style are being felt even in Odisha. This time, more than 50 per cent vote share will go to PM Modi,” Pradhan said
Similarly, upon reaching Odisha from New Delhi after attending the BJP's office-bearers’ meeting, Leader of the Opposition in Odisha Assembly Jayanarayan Mishra said the BJP would reach out to all the four crore people in Odisha ahead of the elections.
