The Indore district admnistration on July 27, 2022, sanction two acres of desired land for construction of new building for Badgonda police station in Mhow tehsil.
The Pioneer in its July 04, 2022 edition had published the news titled "Badgonda police station of Mhow tehsil is still wailting for own pucca building". In the news, it was highlighted that the Badgonda police station is running in two rooms covered with a metal sheet roof and road water enters into the police station during rainy season.
After the publication of news on 4 July 2022 I G Indore rural zoneRakesh Gupta also followed the process of allotment for the land.
SP Indore Rural Bhagwat Singh Birde told The Pioneer that the district administration has given them the allotment letter of 2 acre of desired land. Addl SP Mhow Sashikant kankane, SDOP Mhow Dilip Choudhary and TI BadgondaAmit Kumar will very soon take the possession of the land.
Notably, there are 40 to 50 policemen in the police station face problem in this two room building. People coming with the complainants have to stand outside the police station due to lack of space. More than 70 villages spread in 70 square kilometres area comes under Badgonda police station including the old Agra Bombay Road and several picnic spots of Mhow.
The request for the government land to Badgonda police station was pending with the administration for more than a year.
