More than 20 students were injured when a bus carrying them hit a truck on NH-20 near Bhalukuma in the Anandpur area of Keonjhar district on Thursday morning.
As per reports, Plus Two students of an educational institution in Soro area of Baleswar district had come to Sambalpur for a picnic.
While returning in the ill-fated vehicle, the driver of the bus lost control over the wheels, as a result of which it dashed against a truck from rear.
The bus driver, identified as Pratap Chandra Acharya (54), and a student were critically injured in the accident.
All of the victims were admitted to the Anandpur Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.
