38th Indian Engineering Congress concludes in Jabalpur

The Indian Engineering Congress 2023, organized under the aegis of Institution of Engineers India Local Center Jabalpur, concluded today. More than 500 scientists, experts and engineers from India and abroad including famous scientist Sudhir Kumar Mishra participated in this three-day 38th Indian Engineering Congress.

While in the various technical sessions and open sessions, there was intense brainstorming to deal with the present and future challenges of engineering, on the last day the experts concluded the 38th Indian Engineering Congress with the determination to materialize the concept of a developed India.

 Today, 16 technical papers from various disciplines were presented at the Indian Engineering Congress in which Shreya Gautam explained in detail about the need of the  undersea use of fiber optical cables, while Engineer V Ramanathan explained about the use of various engineering techniques ,emphasis was laid on making the future easier for the common people.

In the technical session, G Kodala Rao expressed concern about the safety and conservation of dams more than 50 years old in India and said that efforts are being made to save the Indian people living on the banks of the dams. He said that in the last years 40 dams in India have been destroyed due to natural or other reasons. There are still 5334 dams in India, out of which almost half of the dams are old and have become weak with time.

Similarly, conservation of 1000 small dams is also necessary.

In the technical session, Deepti Y Patil, Rajendra Gode, Mukta Bhatale presented their useful papers on AI technology, Prashant Chaudhary, Akhilesh AI, Virendra Tiwari presented their useful papers on burning topics like Wireless Sensor Network.

The Annual General Meeting of the corporate members of the Institution of Engineers India was also held in the Congress. In which Engineer Rakesh Rathore from Jabalpur was elected as the counseling member of the State Center from Madhya Pradesh.

Similarly, G Ranganath of Chennai was elected as the National President of the Institution of Engineers for 2023-24.

Patan MLA Ajay Bishnoi expressed hope while congratulating the President of Institution of Engineers Local Center Jabalpur Brigadier CK Trivedi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee Engineer Rakesh Rathore, Secretary Dr. Mukta Bhatele, Secretary of the Local Center Dr. Rajeev Jain for organizing such a historic and important event in Jabalpur. That scientists and engineers will continue to make their invaluable contribution in achieving the vision of a developed India.
