The Ganjam district administration on Monday announced shutdown in the Chhatrapur Notified Area Council (NAC) area, the district headquarters town, for six days in a bid to contain the spread of Covid-19.
The shutdown, which would come into effect on Tuesday (June 30) would remain in force till July 5.

During the shutdown, all shops and business establishments, except medicine stores, would remain closed in the NAC jurisdiction.
On Monday, the district reported the highest 96 covid-19 positive cases and two deaths. The total number of positive cases in the district now stands at 1367, including 463 active cases.
