Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday said that the frequent use of intemperate language in UP assembly was a cause of concern for all those who respected the constitutional democratic political order.
He said trading of charges and counter-charges in unparliamentary language could never have place in a democratic political order.
The SP president said, "We get very hostile responses from the government when the grievances of the people and their sufferings are raised in the assembly by the opposition MLAs."
Akhilesh Yadav said, "I wonder why the Bharatiya Janata party government is so scared of facing questions from the people's representatives."
He said in a democracy, it was the people who elected the government and the BJP would have to pay dearly for its arrogance.
He said the days of BJP's government were numbered and in the assembly elections next year, the people would announce their decision in favour of the Samajwadi Party.
He said the next SP government would be a game-changer for the state.
He also slammed the government for inflation, farmers' distress and lack of opportunities for setting up industries in the state.
