n Close on the heels of top BJP leaders Amit Shah and JP Nadda visiting Bengal last week, Rashtriya Swayam Sevak chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday completed two-day silent visit of Bengal when he met a number of “highly respected people and celebrities.”
Earlier on Saturday Bhagwat met Upen Biswas former CBI Joint Director who cracked the Bihar animal husbandry scam before joining the Trinamool Congress and becoming a minister in Bengal post 2011 change of power in the State.
Biswas, known for his integrity had recently acted as one of the whistle-blowers in the infamous school level recruitment scam that saw a number of ministers and MLAs going to jail.
Bhagwat also met percussionist and table player Pandit Bikram Ghosh and film actor Victor Banerjee who had a few decades ago acted in David Lean’s Passage to India.
“We had a fine discussion on various issues … he listened to my sons playing table and was very pleased … It was good year ending for me …I told him that though I will not be able to visit Ayodhya on January 22 as I have two shows, I will definitely visit there soon,” Ghosh said.
