The death anniversary of social worker Sudhir Chandra Kunwar was celebrated with religious rituals at Kunwar Bhawan and Kunwar Kothi. Tributes were paid to him by garlanding his statue. After the puja, blankets were distributed among the needy in his native village Bhatt Khijri. MP Surdashan Bhagat was especially present on this occasion. On this occasion, MP Surdashan Bhagat said that Sudhir Chandra Kunwar was a person of religious nature. His humble nature and kind personality will always inspire people. He has done many such works which the people of the area are taking advantage of. He always helped in the education of poor children, built temples and contributed significantly in the marriage of many destitute girls.
He was also the patron of Central Mahavir Mandal and Central Durga Puja. Due to his absence, people miss him a lot. Hundreds of villagers from Bhatthkhijri, Rampur, Mundo, Bejwali had arrived on this occasion. Blankets were distributed among the needy by the people of Kunwar family.
