Over 15 lakh people participated in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in 20 days in Hry
Chandigarh: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra has completed 20 days in Haryana and during this period, various programmes have been organised at 2413 gram panchayats and urban locations. So far, over 15.12 lakh people have participated in these programs, an official spokesperson said on Wednesday.
Hry Govt approves 13 new projects under Rural Augmentation Rural Water Supply Programme
Chandigarh: Haryana Government has decided to implement 13 new projects worth more than Rs. 75 crore under Rural Augmentation Programme in 6 districts namely Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Jhajjar, Hisar, Kaithal and Sirsa. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday accorded administrative approval for these projects to be implemented by the Public Health Engineering Department.
Raids to crackdown unlawful activities in all 22 districts of Hry
Chandigarh: The Haryana State Enforcement Bureau on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids in 22 districts of the state to crack down on unlawful activities, including illicit liquor. During this special operation, a total of 35 cases were registered, actions were taken against 36 individuals, and 958 liters of illicit liquor, 606.5 bottles of country liquor, 1363 bottles of Indian-made foreign liquor, and 775 bottles of beer were seized, said a spokesperson. Home Minister Anil Vij has directed the Haryana State Enforcement Bureau to intensify the campaign against illegal mining and illicit liquor with more rigor and effectiveness
First-ever e-auction of e-waste in Haryana
Chandigarh: HARTRON, designated by the IT policy on October 6, achieved a milestone with the first-ever e-auction of e-waste in the State of Haryana. Unveiling the e-waste management initiative, the streamlined electronic auction portal launched in August this year is designed to simplify the entire e-waste disposal process through an automated and seamless mechanism. Undeniably e-waste has emerged as an impending issue with the proliferation of IT and electronic devices. The pressing issue of e-waste, though acknowledged, demands a more robust and proactive approach, said MD, HARTRON, J Ganesan.
Himachal CM lays foundation stone of Rs 268 crore Pepsi bottling plant at Kandrori in Kangra
Shimla: Himachal Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of the Pepsi bottling plant of Varun Beverages Limited to be built at a cost of Rs. 268 crore at Kandrori in Indora assembly constituency of district Kangra. He said that this would be the biggest industry in the district and provide more than two thousand employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth. Himachal is a suitable destination for investment and the state government is providing much-needed facilities to the investors, he said, adding that the roads leading to the industrial belts will be improved. To make the State self reliant, the Government is taking necessary measures besides inheriting huge debt from the BJP government, stated the Chief Minister. Foreseeing the fiscal health of the State, the government is working tirelessly to bring back the derailed economy on the track and it will take three to four years to recover, he reiterated. However, the economy of the state has improved by 20 percent in the last one year and we have set a target of becoming a self-reliant by the year 2027 and making Himachal the most prosperous state of the country by the year 2032, he remarked.
