Road Safety Month is celebrated every year in January with the aim of spreading awareness on the importance of road safety under the guidelines of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. In the same episode, the Road Safety Awareness Month program organized by the Safety Engineering Department of BSL was inaugurated by Chief Guest Executive Director (Works) Birendra Kumar Tiwari at Ispat Bhawan complex on 6th January.
At the beginning of the program, Chief General Manager (Security and Fire Services) B.K. Sartape welcomed all the people present in the program and gave information about various programmes going on throughout the month. On this occasion, Executive Director (Projects and Additional Charge Material Management) C.R. Mahapatra, Executive Director (Finance and Accounts) Suresh Rangani, Chief General Managers and senior officers and employees of various departments were also present. Safety oath was administered to the steel workers by the Chief Guest ED Birendra Kumar Tiwari.
After the oath taking ceremony, the ED Mr Tiwari flagged off a security chariot from Ispat Bhawan complex to create awareness on road safety. This rally passed through the plant and important parts of the city giving the message of road safety to the citizens. The programme was conducted by Kumar Rajneesh, Assistant General Manager (Fire Services).
