Raising demands a total of 149 city buses running on 10 routes of the capital Bhopal were 'halted' on Tuesday.
Due to various demands like duty timing, salary, PF etc, the driver-conductor did not take out the buses from the depot located at Bagh Sevania. The problems of the passengers increased due to their going on strike.
Passengers were seen waiting for buses at many places including Bairagarh Chichli, Karond, Ayodhya Nagar, Bhaunri, Mandideep, Kokta, Lalghati, Chirayu Hospital, Misrod, Airport, Gandhinagar.
BCLL (Bhopal City Link Limited) officers also remained alert regarding the issue of conductor-drivers not running the buses. They also remained busy in settling the matter so that the passengers can get relief.
Under the banner of Bhopal City Vehicle Driver Operator Trade Union INTUC Bhopal, all the drivers and conductors staged protest in the depot itself. The protest continued till 4 pm. After this the strike ended. However, buses remained in the depot on Tuesday. The union said that buses will be taken out on Wednesday.

Union President Aziz Khan said that the company's operators met during the strike and assured that the problems will be resolved soon. Have been asked to pay salary by 10th of every month.
At the same time, it has also been said to fix the timing and deposit the PF amount soon. After this the strike has been called off. If the problems are not resolved then all city buses will not be allowed to run.
