Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Friday here lauded the role of National Cadet Corps (NCC) in channelizing the energy of youth into positivity and said the cadets are leaders of tomorrow and are the most vital stakeholders in the growth and rise of Bharat.
Making these points while inaugurating the Republic Day NCC camp for this year, he also said the NCC instills punctuality, resilience, loyalty, and hard work that shape the cadets into active, productive citizens and the most valuable human resource of the country.
Dhankhar said by their actions and conduct, NCC cadets exemplify "Unity in Diversity" adding the NCC ensures your organic growth as ambassadors for national awareness campaigns, fostering integration across cultural, religious, and geographical lines.
The Vice President said he was happy to note a pro-women change taking place very impactfully within the NCC. Now there is increasing female participation. "I had the occasion to witness it a while ago.
During the upcoming Republic Day, female cadets will proudly march down the Kartavya Path in two exclusive contingents with two female bands," he said.
Stating that NCC cadets are role models for the nation's youth, Dhankhar urged them to continue to conduct themselves with the highest dignity and discipline. "Even after NCC training, you must remember that the cadet spirit is eternal and lasting. You have to nurture it and it will blossom," he said.
"I am confident that you all will continue to work with the same enthusiasm, valor, and dedication to make our Bharat, a larger democracy, a truly developed nation, and a world leader by 2047," Dhankhar said.
