Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacted with the beneficiaries of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) through video conferencing. Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra has been launched across the country to achieve 100 per cent target of major schemes of the government, so as to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach all the targeted beneficiaries in a time bound manner.
Union Minister for Tribal Affairs and Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Arjun Munda heard the Prime Minister's address live from Manhatu of Rania block of Khunti. Live telecast was arranged at Manhatu through a specially designed awareness van. Hundreds of villagers and beneficiaries of various schemes were present on this occasion. The Minister also clicked a selfie on this occasion and also saw the drone demonstration being conducted by IFFCO. IEC material was also provided to the Minister by Akhil Kumar Mishra, ADG of Press Information Bureau.
After listening to the Prime Minister's address, the Union Minister, while addressing the people, said that the poor will be given PMAY, Ayushman card for free treatment, gas connection through Ujjwala scheme, Rs 6 thousand per year through Kisan Samman Nidhi. Assistance to farmers through DBT and free grains for the next five years is Modi's guarantee. The Government of India is running many welfare schemes for the poor. It is the responsibility of youth to ensure that all the needy get the benefits of these schemes. After this he also laid the foundation stone of Eklavya Model Residential School.
Under the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra, Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi listened to the address of the PM live in a programme organized near Barjo Panchayat Bhawan of Rajdhanwar block of Giridih district on Saturday. On this occasion, she also inaugurated the IEC van by cutting the ribbon. Calendars, flyers and booklets were also distributed among the people present in this program.
Advisor to the PM, Tarun Kapoor participated in the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra campaign organized in Gadilong village of Tandwa block on Saturday and formally inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. After this, he inspected the camps organized in the campaign one by one and through the public dialogue programme, he also listened to the problems of the beneficiaries and villagers present on the spot.
Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, Sunil Kumar Barnwal reached the camp organized in Silafari Panchayat of Gumla under the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra conducted as per the instructions of the Central Government. MP Sudarshan Bhagat was also present on the occasion. During this, he inspected the stalls set up in the camp organized in the Silafari Panchayat Bhawan premises.
