Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry-cum-Central In-charge Officer, Aspirational District Programme, Ranchi, Himani Pandey, today chaired a review meeting under the Aspirational District Programme, in the auditorium of Government Guest House, Circular Road, Ranchi.
Himani Pandey, while reviewing the progress and future action plan of the centrally sponsored programs in a review meeting under the Aspirational District Programme, told all the concerned officers to progressively improve the various standards of the Aspirational District set by NITI Aayog. There is a need, so that further improvements can be made in this standard. He asked the officers to work with mutual coordination to make continuous efforts for improvement in various sectors including education, health and agriculture.
While giving instructions, the Joint Secretary, said that further progress can be made only if all the departments work with mutual coordination to improve the standards of the aspirational district and he said that there are many such schemes, which can be implemented by the common people. It is very important for the welfare of people. While giving instructions to all the concerned officers, the Joint Secretary said that proper work format should be prepared so that proper implementation of the schemes can be ensured and our main objective is that keeping in mind the convenience of the common people, they should be benefited directly through the schemes.
While reviewing, the Joint Secretary, taking information from the District Education Superintendent, said that there is a need to pay attention to the digital material and tablets that have been made available to the students, so that all the students can use it properly and develop themselves. Its usefulness should be ensured through their evaluation. She directed the concerned officer to coordinate with all the private schools of Ranchi district and get the data entered into UDISE.
While reviewing agriculture and water conservation, the Joint Secretary asked for information from the concerned officer, on which the concerned officer informed that the percentage of micro irrigation as per NITI Aayog standards under agriculture and water conservation is currently 2.97 per cent in Ranchi district. On which the Joint Secretary instructed to bring it to the national level (18.1 per cent) and for this, he was asked to increase the irrigation capacity by selecting qualified farmers at the micro level.
While reviewing the health as per the standards of NITI Aayog, the Joint Secretary, taking information from the concerned officer about ANC registration (first trimester), live births, sex ratio, expressed happiness seeing the good achievement in all these.
While reviewing the animal husbandry as per the standards of NITI Aayog, she gave complete information to the concerned officer and gave instructions to increase the number of artificial insemination workers so that the target can be achieved and also to increase the number of workers for vaccination of animals in JSLPS. Through this, the women's group was also instructed to maintain the list while engaging in the vaccination of animals. The Joint Secretary, while giving instructions to the District Animal Husbandry Officer, said that through JSLPS, regular meetings were held and the vaccination staff was asked to be increased.
In the review meeting Pandey expressed happiness over the progress of Ranchi district in five years and congratulated all the concerned officers and said that they should work with such mutual coordination so that the standards of NITI Aayog are met.
