A class 10 student committed suicide by hanging with the ceiling at her residdence at Sunkhedi under Kolar police station area on Tuesday; reason behind the suicide remained unknown, said police.
The girl committed suicide on her mother's birthday who works with Mansarovar Dental College as Dentist. After the girl Hiya Verma was found hanging she was taken to hospital where she was declared dead.
In the afternoon when her mother contacted her over phone and asked that Hiya failed to wish her birthday she told mother that she was planning surprise and later committed suicide. No suicide note was found from the spot.
Hiya's mother Chitra Verma is a dentist at Mansarovar Dental College. Chitra told the police she came to college while hiya was alone at home. In the evening she called his daughter. After some time, Hiya failed to answer even after calling two or three times,she immediately reached home and found Hiya hanging in the room. The police got information about the incident around 10 pm.
Kolar police said that at present no suicide note has been found from the spot. Hiya's last conversation on the phone was with mother Chitra.
Police have seized Hiya's phone from the spot which will be investigated. Chitra said that she has separated from her husband. She lives in Kolar with her daughter, while her husband lives in Nehru Nagar. The police would also enquire at the school.
