In a solemn ceremony at Kharsawan, Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid heartfelt tributes to the martyrs of the historic firing incident, expressing condolences for their sacrifice on January 1. The Chief Minister's visit to the martyr's altar included laying a floral tribute, symbolizing deep respect for those who lost their lives. The occasion also served as a platform for Soren to reflect on the challenges faced by Jharkhand since its formation, with a pointed critique of the BJP's governance in the state.
Soren accused the previous BJP-led government of exploiting the state's resources and pledged his leadership to restoring rights and entitlements to the tribal communities. Addressing the gathering, he spoke passionately about the empowerment of tribals and acknowledged the resistance faced from those uncomfortable with these initiatives. Looking forward to the 2024 elections, Soren urged unity to ensure the continuation of his government and eradication of the stigma of backwardness attached to the state.
"This is not just a place of martyrs, it reflects the rich legacy of tribals. We should be cautious of misleading statements and divisive tactics. If Adivasis and Dalits remain united, the next government will be formed by those who prioritize their interests. We will come back in 2024 and erase the stigma of backwardness attached to the state in the next few years," asserted Soren, exuding confidence for the upcoming elections.
Soren also criticized Union Minister Arjun Munda for organizing a Kisan Mela on Martyr's Day, interpreting it as a deviation from the solemn significance of the day. The event witnessed addresses by Minister Champai Soren and local MLA Dashrath Gagrai, reinforcing the commitment to tribal recognition and empowerment.
In envisioning the future of Jharkhand, Soren declared plans for a grand celebration of Tribal Day to showcase tribal civilization, culture, and tradition on the world stage. The Chief Minister's unwavering determination towards state development was evident as he stated, "Ever since our government was formed, we have been continuously working towards taking Jharkhand forward. In the coming days, Jharkhand will stand on its own feet and will not need help from anyone."
As the Chief Minister paid tribute to the Kharsawan martyrs, his words resonated with a vision for a united and empowered Jharkhand, ready to face the challenges and triumph in the years to come.
Soren addressed the significance of Kharsawan as a place of inspiration for tribals, stating, "This is where we get the strength to unite and move the tribals forward."
The Chief Minister emphasized Jharkhand's identity with tribal culture and pledged to elevate Tribal Day celebrations to a global platform. He envisioned an event so grand that tribals from around the world would come to Jharkhand, showcasing the richness of their civilization, culture, and tradition.
Asserting the state's progress under his government, Soren envisioned a self-sufficient Jharkhand by 2025, free from external dependencies. The gathering concluded with a resounding affirmation from the Chief Minister, expressing determination to erase the stigma of backwardness attached to the state in the upcoming years.
