Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami heard the grievances of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) -trained guerrilla volunteers at the State secretariat on Wednesday. Large number of guerrilla volunteers belonging to different districts attended the meeting in a virtual mode. In the meeting the CM directed the officers that efforts to connect the trained guerrilla’s volunteers with livelihood in different departments should be made. He said that the grievances of the guerrillas which can be solved promptly should be disposed of. He assured that a proposal will be sent to the union government for extending help to the guerrillas. The CM directed the officers that efforts should be made in the direction of utilising the services of these volunteers in vibrant village programme, security guards in private security agencies, trainers in home-guards, forest fire watcher, in the works of the Public Works Department (PWD) and in different schemes of the forest department. He asked the additional chief secretary (ACS) Radha Raturi to take regular meetings to review the progress of the plan to make use of the services of SSB trained guerrillas and link them with livelihood.
The meeting was attended by ACS Radha Raturi, ACS Anand Bardhan, officiating Director General of Police (DGP) Abhinav Kumar, commandant general Kewal Khurana, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and additional secretary Nivedita Kukreti, additional secretary Vineet Kumar, AS Lalit Mohan Rayal, Atar Singh and other officers.
