Chhattisgarh Chief Minister-designate Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday gave credit for all his political successes to his mother's blessings.
Jasmani Devi, Sai’s mother, said her son was fortunate to serve the Chhattisgarh Mahtari.
“This is the result of the love of the people of Chhattisgarh,” she said.
Sai visited the Ram temple in Raipur and offered prayers.
He then said: “Our wish to God is that Chhattisgarh should establish its important place in the country for development among all sections of the society.”
Sai was elected leader of the BJP’s Chhattisgarh legislature party on Sunday.
He began his political career as a sarpanch and rose to become four times MP and three times MLA, besides getting important organisational roles.
