In an another gift to the people of his constituency, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated Tanakpur- Dehradun Volvo bus service of Uttarakhand roadways on Friday. The CM also travelled in the newly inaugurated bus service from Jagbuda bridge to Tanakpur. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that providing better transport service to the people is one of the priorities of the State government. He said that people of Champawat will get facility of modern and comfortable travel by the new service. The CM said that the service will also help in increasing the tourist inflow in the area. The daily bus service will be available at 8 PM from Tanakpur and reach Dehradun at 5 AM. From Dehradun the bus service will commence at 9 PM and reach Tanakpur next day at 6 AM.
The CM said that the construction work of roadways bus terminal, depot workshop building, regional workshop building and tyre shop is in underway in Tanakpur.
The BJP district president Nirmal Mahara, state general secretary Hema Joshi, district magistrate Navneet Pandey, SP Devendra Pincha and others were present on the occasion.
