In a determined effort to make the consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 an unparalleled and unforgettable event, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued comprehensive directives for meticulous preparations at the state government level.
Emphasising the global significance of the occasion, the chief minister declared that the eyes of the entire world are set on Ayodhya, presenting a unique opportunity for the global branding of Uttar Pradesh.
During a high-level meeting held on Tuesday, Yogi reviewed various projects underway in Ayodhya and provided essential directives for a seamless execution of the consecration ceremony and subsequent influx of tourists and devotees. He expressed the commitment of the state government to leave no stone unturned in ensuring a pleasant and satisfying experience for all the guests.
With a vision of elevating Ayodhya to a standard of safety, convenience and cleanliness, the chief minister aims to make it an exemplary city for the global audience.
Acknowledging the historic significance of the event, Yogi said that the grand and divine Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple would symbolise the cultural, spiritual and social unity of India as the ‘Rashtra Mandir’.
“Every Sanatan believer should welcome Ram Lalla by lighting Ram Jyoti in their homes and establishments on January 22. This emotional and unprecedented event is a moment of joy and pride for millions of Sanatan believers,” he said.
As Ayodhya braces for the arrival of devotees and tourists from across the globe, Yogi stressed the importance of cleanliness in hospitality. He called for public support, additional manpower deployment and the maintenance of dust-free roads. Specific measures were outlined, including waste management arrangements, the establishment of a ‘Mata Shabari’ restaurant, and the development of a ‘Nishadraj Guest House’ as a night shelter.
To facilitate the influx of devotees and tourists, the chief minister directed the installation of multilingual signage throughout Ayodhya and on key routes. The signage will be in languages included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution and nine languages of the United Nations, ensuring a warm welcome and clear guidance for visitors. The use of Volvo buses and helicopter services for transportation, along with the utilisation of helipads, was also emphasised.
The chief minister also instructed ing the immediate implementation of the Safe City project, installation of CCTV cameras, and the activation of the ICCC of Ayodhya before January 22. He also stressed the importance of continuous strong security arrangements during and after the consecration ceremony.
In addition to these directives, the chief minister called for an organised approach to cleanliness, beautification of the city and the development of a digital tourist app for Ayodhya. He also highlighted the significance of cultural presentations, an enlightened conference, and ‘Cultural Art Boat Tours’ on the Saryu ji.
The chief minister concluded the meeting with a focus on promoting the ideals of Shri Ram, encouraging cultural programmes and organising events such as bhajan-kirtan, Ramkatha discourse and Nagar Sankirtans. The preparations are geared towards making Ayodhya an unforgettable experience for devotees, tourists and visitors from around the world.
