Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday said the martyrdom of Raigarh's Colonel Viplav Tripathi will always guide people.
Sai said this when the Colonel’s father Subhash Tripathi met him to invite him to unveil his son’s statue in Raigarh, an official statement said.
Sai said it will be an honour to attend the function.
Colonel Tripathi, commissioned in the Kumaon Regiment in 2003, was posted in Siachen, Kupwara, Naushera and Mathura. He had also served in Congo and New Zealand.
In November 2021, Colonel Tripathi, his wife Anuja and son Abir were killed in a militant attack in Manipur.
