The Congress in Chhattisgarh on Thursday axed two former legislators for six years here.
Former MLA from Ramanujganj Brihaspat Singh and ex-legislator from Manendragarh Vinay Jaiswal have been expelled for anti-party activities, a party order said.
The two have been sacked for publicly making "baseless allegations" about senior leaders after the election results.
They also failed to give satisfactory replies.
Singh allegedly blamed Chhattisgarh Congress in-charge Kumari Selja and former Deputy Chief Minister T.S. Singh Deo for the election defeat.
Jaiswal alleged that Congress co-in-charge Chandan Yadav had taken Rs 7 lakhs from him for a party ticket.
