Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, Rahul Kumar Sinha inspected various ongoing and proposed schemes of the Road Construction Department in Ranchi on Saturday. The projects include Bariatu (on MDR-004) Lam-Bargani-Bodeya road (total length-3.750 km) widening, strengthening and reconstruction work, Neori Vikas Vidyalaya (on Ranchi Ring Road)-Booty Mod, Kokar Chowk-Kantatoli Namkum R.O.B. Construction work of four lanes of road up to (total length 15.214 km) and Four lane reconstruction work (including bridge construction) of Pandara (on NH-75) Kanke (Holiday Home on SH-02) road (total length-5.545 km) for the year 2023-24, Road Construction Department.
The site inspection was jointly conducted by the DC, along with the concerned engineer of the Road Construction Department and regarding the progress of the work and the obstacles being faced in the progress of the work, the Executive Engineer of the Road Construction Department, Md. Israel Mansoori and the concerned Assistant Engineer/Junior Engineer and the sensor. / Information was taken from the contractor representative, in which it was told by the Executive Engineer that regarding the construction of Lam Badgai road, it was told that the desired amount has been made available to the District Land Acquisition to acquire the desired land for the construction of the said road.
The DC directed the District Land Acquisition Officer to transfer the desired land to the Road Construction Department. Sinha took information from the Executive Engineer about the four lane construction work of Newri Vikas Vidyalaya Booti Mode Path, on which he told that the desired amount will be given to the District Land Acquisition to acquire the desired land for the construction of the said road. The DC instructed the District Land Acquisition Officer to transfer the desired land to the Road Construction Department.
Sinha, while taking information from the concerned officer that the shifting of water supply pipeline/pipe line chamber and electric utility is still pending, gave instructions to the concerned officer and said that for shifting of water supply pipeline, the concerned Executive Engineer of the Water Supply Department was directed to take further action and instructions were given to the Executive Engineer, Road Division, Ranchi to get the electric utility shifting done as soon as possible.
Information was taken by the DC during the proposed site inspection regarding the construction of Pandara (on NH-75) - Kanke road. In this regard, it was told that to acquire the desired land for the construction of the said road, allocation has been demanded from the department to provide the desired amount demanded by the District Land Acquisition and the execution of the tender for this work is pending at the departmental level. Due to which the work of selection of the contractor has not been started, the work can be started only after the selection of the contractor by the department. On which the DC directed the Engineer of the Road Construction Department to provide the amount for land acquisition for the said work to the District Land Acquisition Department as soon as possible and request the departmental higher officials to finalize the tender so that the work can be started as soon as possible.
The DC, while inspecting the road widening work of Hehal Road near Bagicha Toli Hehal Road and New Deepatoli, after taking information about the problems being faced in the widening work, directed the concerned officer to complete the road widening work as soon as possible.
