The maximum temperature in Dehradun was a few notches above normal on Tuesday, providing some relief from the cold. In some other parts of the State, both the maximum and minimum temperatures were a few degrees above normal. For Wednesday, the State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (watch) regarding the possibility of dense fog likely to occur in some parts of Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts during the morning hours. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State today. Ground frost is also expected in the mountainous regions of the State.
The meteorological centre has forecast that the provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to witness a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 23.1 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 24.5 degrees Celsius and 5.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 15.2 degrees Celsius and 5.7 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 17.1 degrees Celsius and 5.4 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. The maximum temperature in Dehradun was three degrees above normal. The maximum temperature in Pantnagar too was three degrees above normal. In Mukteshwar, the maximum temperature was one degree above normal while the minimum temperature was three degrees above normal. Similarly, the maximum temperature was one degree above normal and the minimum temperature was two degrees above normal in New Tehri.
