The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (alert) regarding the possibility of dense fog likely to occur at a few places in Udham Singh Nagar district during late night and morning hours on Friday. The meteorological centte has also issued a yellow warning (watch) regarding the possibility of dense fog likely to occur at a few places in Haridwar district during late night and morning hours. Further, ground frost is likely to occur at few places in the mountainous regions of the State today. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the State. Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur in some parts of plain areas of the State during late night and morning hours.
For the provisional State capital Dehradun, the meteorological centre has forecast that shallow fog/mist is likely to occur during late night and morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 22 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places in the State on Thursday were 23.3 degrees Celsius and 5.1 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 19.6 degrees Celsius and 8.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 11.6 degrees Celsius and 3.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.5 degrees Celsius and 3.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
