The maximum and minimum temperatures remained above normal in various parts of the State on Thursday. However, fog is likely to create inconvenience in the plains of the State. The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (watch) regarding the possibility of dense to very dense fog likely to occur at a few places in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts of the State during the morning hours on Friday. Moderate to dense fog is likely to occur at many places in the plains during the morning hours today. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State on Friday.
For the provisional State capital Dehradun, the meteorological centre has forecast a mainly clear sky with mist likely to occur during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures in Dehradun are likely to be about 23 degrees Celsius and seven degrees Celsius respectively.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 23.4 degrees Celsius and 7.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 21 degrees Celsius and 6.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 13.1 degrees Celsius and 4.6 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 15.4 degrees Celsius and 4.3 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
