The weather of the state capital has become like Shimla as dense fog remained in the city till 12 noon. The visibility was almost around 200 meters and along with cold winds, it is also raining intermittently.
According to meteorologists, the weather will remain like this for the next 3 days. The weather of Bhopal remained harsh on the third day of the new year. By 8 am the fog was so dense that visibility was around 50 meters and by 11 am the fog cleared slightly, but its visibility remained only around 200 meters. The weather will remain like this till evening.
It is also raining intermittently in the city. There was drizzle in the colonies of Kolar Road at 9 am. There was heavy rain for some time in the Shahpura area at 10.30 am. Light drizzle occurred in many areas including Bittan Market, Tulsi Nagar, MP Nagar, Arera Hills.
Congress councilors have demanded lighting of bonfires at various places in the city amid intense cold. Leader of opposition in the corporation Shabista Zaki and councilor Yogendra Singh Guddu Chauhan have also written a letter to the corporation commissioner. He has demanded immediate arrangement of wood for lighting the bonfire.
There was light sunshine along with fog and clouds in the last 2 days, but till Wednesday afternoon there was no sunshine. Due to this the difficulties of common people have increased. People are shivering from the cold.
