The much-anticipated 74th, 75th, and 76th Championship Dog Show hosted by the Jamshedpur Kennel Club is scheduled to captivate audiences from January 5 to 7, 2024, at the Archery Ground, JRD Tata Sports Complex.
This prestigious event promises a spectacular showcase featuring obedience tests, all breed championships, and specialty shows highlighting Beagles and Labrador Retrievers. Over 386 dogs from more than 45 breeds are expected to participate, turning the Archery Ground into a vibrant celebration of the enduring bond between humans and their canine companions.
At a press conference held today, Ruchi Narendran, President of Jamshedpur Kennel Club, expressed her excitement, stating, "Jamshedpur Dog Show 2024 is a celebration of world-class canine excellence, where each dog embodies the true spirit of grace, beauty, and skill. Sudipto Sarkar, Honorary Secretary of JKC, emphasized the event's significance, highlighting the consistent success of dogs from Jamshedpur in national-level competitions over the past years. The inauguration, scheduled for 8:30 am on January 5, 2024, will be conducted by Chief Guest Probal Ghosh, Vice President (Shared Services) at Tata Steel. The event will feature various activities, including Benching (medical examination) of exhibits, panel discussions, and prize distributions.
The panel of judges for the diverse categories includes esteemed names such as Philip Butt from India for Obedience Trial, Yana Gavrilova from Russia for the Beagle Specialty and Labrador Specialty Show, and Dr. Pero Bozhinovski from Macedonia, Lynette Brand from Australia, Alexey Belkin from Russia, and Woong Jong Lee from South Korea for the All Breed Show. Their expertise promises to contribute to the success of this grand event.
