A District Reserve Guard (DRG) trooper was injured on Tuesday when an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxalites exploded in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh.
The blast took place near Saletong village in Kistaram area when the police and CRPF carried out demining operation while setting up a new camp there.
The injured trooper was identified as Joga. He was shifted to a hospital. Two security personnel were injured on Monday in the same area.
The new camp is meant to facilitate road construction and other development works in Saletong, a Maoist stronghold.
The camp is located on the strategically important Chintalnar-Kistaram route.
