Chhattisgarh Police on Friday arrested a 42-year-old dismissed policeman in Bilaspur city for cheating 21 persons of Rs 1.13 crore after promising them government jobs.
Bilaspur Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh identified him as Pankaj Shukla of Bilaspur.
He was absconding since August after a cheating was lodged against him.
He was a constable in the office of the Inspector General of Police. A court sent him to prison.
