This iconic group has given us so many memories, love, affection, laughter and tears, too
Handle? I can handle it. Handle is my middle name. Well, actually it’s the middle part of my first name.” Well, in case you forgot, that’s your Chandler Muriel Bing. But when Friends met all over again recently, it was a flurry of activity. Matthew Perry’s poor health concerns notwithstanding, who was seen slurring his speech during the “Friends Reunion” episode, the zing of the show was very much alive even after 17 years the show stopped airing. One of the most watched and loved sitcoms to date, F.R.I.E.N.D.S ran for 10 years from 1994. It has been the most awaited reunion in the history of television around the globe. Finally, the whole cast of F.R.I.E.N.D.S came under one roof. The much-awaited episode, aired on May 27 after years of abated breaths and scintillating suspense, started with the appearance of Ross Geller === David Lawrence Schwimmer === followed by Phoebe Buffay === Lisa Valerie Kudrow === and then the other main elements Rachel Green, Jennifer Joanna Aniston, Joey Tribbiani, Matthew Steven LeBlanc, Monica Geller, Courtney Cox, and then sarcasm king Chandler, Matthew Langford Perry, meeting each other and reliving the wonderful moments.
The F.R.I.E.N.D.S were together after 17 years. The moment was magical, just as so many of us had been imagining for long, feeling not only for them to meet, touch and hug one another but also as we all secretly have a wish to climb into the arms of our loved ones from our younger days. They had tears in their eyes, the actors, and so did the viewers. James corden, the host, as you all must have seen, hosted it in front of the iconic fountain which is present in the title track. To help re-enjoy the moments of the show, there were the “Joey and Chandler ” chairs when they sit on the chair together and say “Aww…”. The reunion show starred as a highlight the Q&A session hosted by Ross, wherein Monica and Rachel lose their apartment to the fumbling Chandler and Joey. The aficionados would remember, to the answer to a question, that Rachel “on a break” then had written “18 pages, front and back”, to Ross. Lovely, moving, and heartbreak then? Does it help if our friend Chandler says in one of the episodes: “I'm not great at advice. But can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?”
