Cyber Crime Branch Bhopal arrested the absconding mastermind who committed fraud of Rs 1.6 crore in the name of providing a job from Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
People looking for jobs were targeted by the accused. Fraud of Rs 1.5 crore in the name of providing a job. Till now 97 people have been cheated by the accused.
The accused used to demand money in the name of different charges. The accused used to cheat people by calling from fake mobile numbers. To escape from the police, the accused used to change the location of their call center from time to time. Mobile and laptop used in the crime were seized from the accused.
Cyber Crime Branch Bhopal arrested the accused who used to work in a company and committed fraud of Rs 1.6 crore in the name of getting a job from Noida, Uttar Pradesh whose two accused have already been arrested by Cyber Crime Branch Bhopal.
A website was created by the accused in the name of a multi-national company providing jobs under different names. After which the accused warned the people visiting that website. People were lured by taking out money and calling people to get them a job as per their need. The accused used to design their website in such a way that payment gateway was available in that website itself, due to which people used to trust that website and the fraud of money was done through that payment gateway only. After which money was demanded from people in the name of different charges.
To hide their identity and escape from the police, the accused used to call from fake numbers and one number was switched off after making 5 to 10 calls and the gateway was also obtained by putting fake documents in the payment gateway of the website. The mail ID was used by the accused to talk to the complainant. Mail IG was being used by the accused by installing VPN.
And money was being withdrawn from the bank accounts linked in the gateway through ATMs from different states of the country.
The accused who committed fraud in the name of getting a job was arrested from Noida, Uttar Pradesh and recovered 2 mobile phones, 1 laptop and a car were seized. Rishabh Dubey was nabbed is Engineer (Computer Science) creating fake websites and preparing fake joining letters for jobs.
