Former Indian cricket team captain and ex-president of BCCI Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday praised the international cricket stadium at Nava Raipur during his first visit to Chhattisgarh.
He acknowledged the history of hosting international matches at the stadium, including games featuring Sachin Tendulkar.
Ganguly also paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister presented Ganguly a bell metal souvenir of the state animal, the Indian Wild Buffalo, and a shawl. Ganguly gave Sai an autographed cricket bat.
