Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is ongoing in Madhya Pradesh since 16th December. The main objective of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is to extend the benefits of government schemes to those needy and eligible citizens who were left out of the benefits of government schemes due to some reason. It involves disseminating information about schemes through LED-equipped IEC vans, reaching door-to-door in rural areas alongwith distributing benefits. Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel expressed these views in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme organised at Gram Panchayat Diwanganj of Raisen district.
Addressing the villagers, he said that scheme catering to diverse segments of of the society are being implemented by central and state governments. Earlier, citizens had to go to offices to avail the benefits of the schemes. But now through this Sankalp Yatra, the officers themselves are reaching out to the citizens and receiving applications. So far, this Viksit Yatra has covered 252 Gram Panchayats in Raisen district and the beneficiaries have also been given the benefits of the schemes as per their eligibility.
Governor Shri Patel said that due to lack of information, citizens of remote areas are not able to get the benefits of the schemes. In this yatra, through publicity mediums, information about welfare schemes run by the government is reaching far-flung eligible and needy citizens. Efforts are being made to bring happiness and prosperity in their lives through schemes. Citizens should join the mainstream of development by availing benefits as per their eligibility. Everyone's progress will ensure the economic development of the country thus realising the dream of developed India.
Governor Shri Patel said that many schemes like Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan, Pradhan Mantri Awas, Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala are innovative initiatives of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The benefits of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Suraksha Bima, Jeevan Jyoti and Atal Pension Schemes are being extended to the eligible people simultaneously women of self-help groups are becoming self-reliant. Significant efforts have been undertaken by the government to promote women's empowerment which are yielding positive results. Empowered by the scheme women are not only becoming self-reliant but are also playing pivotal role in the family's progress.
Referring to the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, he said that women have benefited a lot from this scheme. Earlier, They used to cook on traditional stove and smoke coming out of it was very harmful for their health. Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, free gas stove and connection is being provided to them. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, pucca houses are being given to the poor. MP Shri Ramakant Bhargava also addressed the programme. Vote of thanks was expressed by District Panchayat President Shri Yashwant Meena. Vice President of Sanchi District Panchayat, Smt. Vaijanti Gangaram Chouksey was also present.
Collector Shri Arvind Dubey said that there are a total of 521 gram panchayats in Raisen district and till now this yatra has been organised in 252 gram panchayats. He said that government schemes are being properly publicized during this yatra. Benefits are being distributed to the beneficiaries through camps.
Governor Shri Patel inspected the stalls showcasing Agriculture, Women and Child Development, AYUSH, Health Department, Aadhaar Updation, and various other departments during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra organised in Diwanganj. Collector Dubey, after receiving the applications in the camp, immediately informed about the process of providing benefits as per eligibility.
