As part of its ongoing pursuit to accelerate the development of Uttar Pradesh with the help of technology, the Yogi Adityanath government is developing a mobile app-based web portal to expedite the completion of online house tax collection process in Lalitpur.
The mobile app-based portal will facilitate payment of house taxes with a click for people’s convenience.
UP Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC) has already started the process of developing the mobile-based web portal which will be equipped with all facilities, including payment gateway and geo-tagging among others. Moreover, this integrated web portal will be capable of completing on-site data updation, billing and survey processes.
“The Yogi government is particularly focused on the development of Bundelkhand, resulting in the acceleration of several major projects in the region. The development of a Drug and Pharma Park is also underway in Lalitpur,” a government official said.
The mobile portal being developed by UPLC for Lalitpur will serve as a ‘one-stop solution’. On one hand, the common people will benefit from features such as a payment gateway, geo-tagging, on-site data updates and billing through the development of this portal, on the other, it will function as an effective app for conducting surveys, MISE data collection, counter collection and counter-based house tax collection for the convenience of officials.
Through this application, tasks such as construction allowance based on the age of structures, central taxes, commercial monthly rental calculation, pending charge calculation and property surveys can be completed. Additionally, the under-construction web portal will also be integrated with billing software and budget accounting software.
Complaint management system and SMS-based alert system will be able to provide regular updates through notifications, adding further to the value of this application. It will be capable of consolidating various types of reports, including ward-wise collection, annual collection, bill payment reports and daily collection reports.
The implementation of this portal and application will bring transparency and improvement in the functioning of municipalities and nagar panchayats in the region. It is noteworthy that UPLC is in touch with software development companies and agencies empanelled for the development of this portal and has started the process of allotment of work to the selected agency.
