The Uttar Pradesh government has asked vice-chancellors of all state universities to implement recommendations of a committee headed by Bundelkhand University vice-chancellor for a uniform syllabus in state universities.
At a vice-chancellors’ conference in July, 2017, it was decided to implement a uniform syllabus in all state universities while Ram Naik was then the Governor of UP and also Chancellor of all state universities. After this, the state government had set up a committee headed by the vice-chancellor of Bundelkhand University (Jhansi) to make recommendations on the issue.
The report of the committee was referred to UP State Higher Education Board by the state government, and it approved the recommendations.
The government has now directed all state universities to implement the recommendations for a uniform syllabus.
