Haryana reports 4 deaths, 980 fresh cases

Haryana on Tuesday reported four Covid-19 related fatalities and 980 fresh positive cases.   “The death toll stood at 3147 while the total infections have reached 289694 in the state. In the last 24 hours, two deaths were reported in Ambala while one death each was reported in Faridabad and Hisar,” according to the Haryana Health Department’s evening bulletin. There were 9437 active cases in the state.  The fatality rate was recorded at 1.09 percent in Haryana. The COVID positive rate was 4.66 per cent and recovery rate was recorded at 95.66 percent.  According to the health bulletin, out of 980 fresh cases reported, a maximum of 161 positive cases were reported in Gurugram followed by 143 in Panipat. Ambala reported 109 fresh cases, Panchkula 102 and Kurukshetra 104.

265 NEW CASES, 2 DEATHS IN CHANDIGARH

Chandigarh on Tuesday reported 265 fresh coronavirus cases, pushing the infection count to 26,733 while two more deaths led the death count to 379.        

The number of active cases rose to 2,831, according to a health bulletin.  The Chandigarh administration has declared 25 areas in the Union Territory as containment zones in view of the upsurge in coronavirus cases in the past few days.
