Koraput was the coldest town in the State on Wednesday night recording a minimum temperature of 7.1 Celsius, said the Regional Office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Thursday.
Besides Koraput, Semiliguda recorded 8.3 degree, G Udaygiri 9 degree and Daringibadi 9.5 degree.
Cuttack city recorded 16.2 degree while capital city Bhubaneswar recorded 17 degree.
The weather office said the temperature is likely to remain above normal by 2 to 3 degree at many places over the districts of the State during the next five days.
While no large change in minimum temperature over the districts of has been predicted for the next five days, foggy conditions are likely to prevail for a day or two.
As per the IMD, shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur on Friday in the districts of south coastal Odisha, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada and at one or two places over the rest of the districts.
