An 22-year-old engineering student of Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) committed suicide by hanging from a tree; student went missing on Friday and found hanging in the mornign on Saturday morning.
The police is investigating the matter The reason for the suicide has not been revealed. Police are probing the matter.
Police said Uddeshya Ahirwar committed suicide by hanging on a tree near the sports complex. He was in final year student of mechanical branch and used to live in hostel number-8 of the institute.
According to the police, uddeshya was a resident of Burhanpur and was studying in the final year of mechanical engineering in MANIT.
Aakash stayed with friends in the hostel till 8 pm on Friday night. Till this time he was as normal as other students and suddenly, without saying anything to friends, he left the hostel on a bike and later failed to return for the night.
On Saturday morning, when the students and faculty staff living in the campus went towards the sports complex, they saw his body hanging with a tree.
Police said that Uddeshya had parked his bike on the roadside on the campus before committing suicide. From here he reached near the tree in the green belt of the campus.
