A minor girl of Tustapali village under Saintala block in Balangir district was raped and murdered by miscreants on Wednesday.
The girl’s father in his complaint accused three youths of the same village of raping and murdering his daughter.
As per reports, the victim had gone out to attend nature’s call at night. But she never returned home.
Her family members made frantic searches all over the area and finally found her lying under a bush near a river. They took her to the Bhima Bhoi Medical College Hospital, where the doctors pronounced her dead.
A case has been registered at the Saintala police station on the basis of her father’s complaint.
Later, hundreds of locals gheraoed the Saintala police station demanding justice for the girl’s family.
