The team of National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) reached Lohardaga on Monday, under the chairmanship of Anant Nayak, Member, National Commission for Scheduled Tribes, an important meeting with Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police and other district level officials was held in the collectorate hall.
At the beginning of the meeting, Alka Tiwari, Secretary, NCST gave detailed information about the constitution of the commission, functions, rights, advice/suggestions given by the commission in the policy making of the state/central government, etc. to the district officials.
In the meeting, information about the population of the district, the number of Scheduled Tribes residing etc. was given by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna. After this, schemes run by the Welfare Department, such as Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme, Post Matric Scholarship Scheme, Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme, Chief Minister Health Scheme, Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme, Birsa Awas Yojana, Vanadhikar Patta, Sarna / Masna Siege, ST / SC Atrocities Act , PVTG postman scheme, number of welfare hostels / number of welfare schools, number of model schools, schemes taken under SCA for Scheduled Tribes, Anganwadi and facilities provided, Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, primary schools operated in the district under education department Number of schools and facilities of electricity, drinking water, toilets etc, status of dropout of ST students, work done at district level to prevent dropout, ST students in the district between classes 9-12 Caste certificates issued, Scheduled Tribe youths and women registered in the District Planning Office, labourers registered in the Labour Office, Lohardaga, training being run by the Department, Agriculture Department Intergam Kharif and Status of crops, housing schemes for tribal families, ground water level recovery under MGNREGA, new schemes taken under SCA, Prime Minister's agricultural irrigation schemes, pre-natal check-up under health department, institutional delivery, vaccination, malnutrition, under supply department Ration, Sona Sobran Dhoti-Sari Yojana, paddy procurement, drinking water facility in villages under Har Ghar Jal Yojana, pucca roads in remote areas, etc. were reviewed and instructions were given.
Free preparation of NEET/JEE and computer training to the students of the district by the Deputy Commissioner from the SCA item, free preparation for cricket, football and wrestling, police and army recruitment to promote sports, establishment of District Sports Training Center, SCA item Various employment-oriented skill development training programs under the district, Industrial Sewing Center in Kisco block, Carpet weaving center in Peshar, Sweater production center in Senha, Briquetting plant in Tisia of Kisco block, various training courses through IHM Ranchi, JGTIR's Information was given about various training courses and block level library establishment in all blocks and a district level library establishment in Lohardaga district. Also, it was informed that 150 ponds are being constructed/renovated in Lohardaga district under Mission Amrit Sarovar.
The member directed that schemes should be prepared for the upliftment of the Scheduled Tribes in the district by conducting Gram Sabhas, a demand for funds should be made by proposing those schemes. A proposal for a nursing school should be sent in the district. The number of Scheduled Tribes should be increased in farmer producer groups. In order to save children and women from malnutrition in the district, locally available vegetables and food grains should be promoted so that those things are easily available. District social welfare and labour departments should coordinate among themselves and make available the consolidated report of migrant workers to the Deputy Commissioner so that the actual number can be known and seasonal migration can be stopped. Whatever number is pending in the caste certificate in the district, it should be executed soon. In Eklavya Model School, Lohardaga, there is a thought of providing Navodaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya level education so that the children there can achieve 100% success in competitive examinations, it should be continuously monitored. Trees and plants found here should be planted in the model school. The right of forest must be given to the Scheduled Tribe people living there. Touthang, Assistant Director Meenakshi Sharma, Private Secretary to Member PK Parida, Advisor to the Commission Gulshan Khaklani, Superintendent of Police R Ramkumar, Deputy Development Commissioner Sameera S, PK Das, Sub-Divisional Officer Arvind Kumar Lal and other district level officials were present.
