PARADISE group relief work
Members of the PARADISE group distributed ration and relief material for nutritious diet to 95 pregnant women of Gadkhatanga, Tonko, Sabyabagan, Naya Bhusur, Magubandh, Mahuatoli, Bentoli, Lalkhatanga, Kochbong, Kharsidag Lapung villages of different Panchayats of Namkum block. In this difficult phase of the epidemic, their family's regular income was not able to cope with them and in such a situation the danger was posed due to malnutrition. The total project cost was around Rs 90,000. In this hour of crisis, the group has thanked all the donors, said Alok Poddar, Honorary secretary, Paradise.
Anil Kureel is UBI Ranchi Zone Head
Anil Kureel joined Ranchi Zonal Head of Union Bank of India (UBI). On April 1, Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank merged with UBI and Kureel became the first Ranchi Zonal Head of the bank after the merger. Earlier, he was working at the Information and Technology Department of the bank in Mumbai. On arrival of Kureel at the Zonal Office, he was welcomed by the bank's staff. The bank has a total of 375 branches in Ranchi Zone.
Rajendra Man Pandey is new BoI GM
Rajendra Man Pandey has been made the new General Manager (GM) of Bank of India (BoI) of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Ravindra Kumar Das has been made the new General Manager of the State Level Bankers Committee, Jharkhand. Both the General Managers will take over on Monday. Both the GMs said that banks have a major contribution in the development of Jharkhand. They will work step by step with the Government for the development of Jharkhand.
JPPC installs pad vending machine
On the request of Mahgama Congress MLA Deepika Pandey Singh, a sanitary pad vending machine has been installed for women of the capital city, by Jharkhand State Professional Congress Committee, on Monday at Mother NGO, LN Mishra Colony, Majer Kothi, Ranchi. It was inaugurated jointly by Pradesh Women's Congress President Gunjan Singh and AIPC Secretary Khyati Munjal. The President of the JPPC, Aditya Vikram Jaiswal was present on the occasion. Gunjan Singh said that this is a great initiative aimed at protecting women from infection.
Webinar on Geography in Covid Scenario
St Xavier's College, Ranchi will be hosting a webinar on 'Geography in Covid and Post Covid in India' on July 3. CSRD chairperson Professor Milap Punia and Allahabad Central University Professor Anupam Pandey would be the key speakers here. Depressed over death of son, mother kills self
A 40-year old woman Rekha Bauri allegedly committed suicide at her residence at Namkum under Namkum police station area of city capital on Monday morning. She apparently committed suicide a day after her 10 years old son Bobby committed suicide. Bobby's Bobby was found hanging inside the bathroom of the house. “Mother committed suicide in the same fashion inside the bathroom. Two members of this poor family died within 24 hours,” said officer in-charge of Namkum police station Praveen Kumar Jha.
