More than 4,000 people participated in ‘The Great Chhattisgarh Run’ in Raipur on Sunday.
This was the eighth marathon held to raise awareness about physical fitness. This event is held every year in Chhattisgarh in December.
This is the first race in Chhattisgarh that qualifies the runners for world-level events.
Cash prizes were given to winners in the 6, 10, 21 and 42-km categories. The main theme of this year was the state bird 'Pahari Myna', which was highlighted in every aspect of the event.
