Bhopal Central Jail prisoner Nadeem Khan alias Fire Brigade has escaped from Hamidia Hospital,  he was brought for treatment at 12.20 pm on Saturday.

He told that he had pain in his hand since last night. Had undergone hand operation in the past.

The jail doctors advised him to get an X-ray done. At 12 noon he was sent to Hamidia Hospital along with jail guard Deepesh Ingle. X-ray was being done here and from where he escaped.  There are 16 cases registered against him.

The process of suspending the on-duty sentinel Deepesh Ingle on charges of negligence has also been started.

Jail Superintendent Rakesh Bhangre said that Nadeem Khan has been sentenced to 7 years in the case of attempt to murder. He was serving jail in this case.

Due to old rivalry, Nadeem along with his partner Danish Zafar had attacked Hamza Bam.

In the same case, on October 27, 2023, he was sentenced to 7 years in prison by the Bhopal court.

Jail guard Deepesh Ingle is posted in Bareilly jail of Hoshangabad division. Presently he is on attachment in Bhopal jail for the treatment of prisoners. A mail has been sent to Hoshangabad Jail Superintendent to suspend Deepesh with immediate effect. Action will be taken against him soon.

All CCTVs in the complex are closed.

Prisoner Nadeem was brought to the old building of Hamidia Hospital for X-ray. The police checked the CCTV cameras after his escape. Then it was found that all the CCTV cameras installed in this building were switched off.

It is being told that the reels have run out in the X-ray department of Hamidia Hospital. Patients are being asked to take photos from the screen after the X-ray. As soon as Nadeem's X-ray was done, he asked the constable present to take a photo of the X-ray from the screen and show it to the doctor. So that further treatment can be done. The constable started taking photographs, when the prisoner dodged and escaped.
