Punjab Government’s School of Eminence (SOE) is conducting a groundbreaking nine-day winter residential camp for Class XI students — aimed at preparing them for competitive examinations. The camp, hosting 600 students from various Schools of Eminence, focuses on teaching 360 strategies for competitive exams, said the state’s School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on Sunday.
This initiative marks the first-ever free guiding and counseling workshop for competitive exam preparation in Punjab’s history, spearheaded by the AAP Government. The camp, taking place from December 23 to 31, 2023, enrolled 1,500 medical and non-medical students based on merit after a rigorous selection process.
The curriculum involves preparation for exams like IIT-JEE and NEET, with teachers from renowned partner educational institutions and industry experts providing guidance. The students’ daily routine includes morning games and yoga, followed by specialized training sessions on exam preparation techniques and doubt resolution.
The camp also features a heritage tour, offering students a connection to Punjab’s rich culture and history. “This innovative step by the Punjab Government reflects a commitment to an educational revolution. The initiative is the first of its kind, ensuring that students from government schools are well-prepared for competitive exams,” said Bains.
Bains highlighted the significant contribution of AAP Government initiative to realizing the dreams of underprivileged students and their parents. The camp aligns with the Government's broader efforts to secure a bright future for students across the state.
