A mega Parents-Teachers’ meeting (PTM) will be held across 19,109 government primary schools and upper primary schools across Punjab on Saturday. Moe than 20 lakh parents are expected to participate in the meeting.
Inviting the parents of the state’s government school students to attend Mega PTM, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday issued a message urging the parents to must attend the Parents-Teachers Meet “so that you can get information about your wards and also give suggestions regarding the improvement in education system”.
Mann said that the Punjab Government is committed and making efforts to raise the standard of all government schools in the State and restore their glory.
“In this mega PTM, teachers and parents will share the feedback about children. Parents should also know about the child’s activities in school besides the teachers will know about the student’s life after the school. Parents will also take stock about the facilities being given in the school premises,” said the Chief Minister, urging the parents to give suggestions about the future of their wards and shared grievances (if any) with teachers.
Mann, in his message, said that his dream to carve out Rangla Punjab will realize with the active participation of all sections of the society.
Sharing details, the state’s School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that during this program, to be organized from 10 am to 3:30 pm, teachers, students and their parents, school management committees and other renowned persons will sit together and discuss ways to improve the education system.
He said that exhibitions, showcasing the works done in schools, library, langars, and academic achievements to be the center of attraction of this program.
“Aim of organizing this mega PTM is to provide direct feedback between parents and teachers regarding the performance of the students. Apart from this, teachers will share information with parents regarding Mission Samarth, Mission 100 percent, school attendance of students, and new admissions,” he added.
Bains also invited parents for the mega PTM to witness this massive education revolution initiated in Punjab. He also appealed to the students to bring their grandparents with them in this mega PTM.
