Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat NyayYatra’ is likely to cover as many as 10 districts of Odisha, informed Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) president SaratPattanayak on Wednesday,
The proposed districts are Mayurbhanj, Baleswar, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Khordha (Bhubaneswar), Ganjam, Koraput, Kalahandi, Nuapada and Balangir.
Gandhi will enter Odisha from Jharkhand and head towards Chhattisgarh after the programme in Odisha, Pattnayak said.
He further said that the party has been working hard for ‘Mission 90’ (to win 90 seats in Odisha Assembly Elections-2024). The Congress would field candidates who lost with less margin in the 2019 polls and those who have organisational strength, he added.
Patnaik has gone to New Delhi to hold discussion with Gandhi regarding the Bharat NyayYatra in Odisha.
Gandhi will embark on his 6,200-km Bharat NyayYatra from Manipur on January 14. The Yatra will cover 85 districts in 14 States, including Odisha, and conclude in Mumbai on March 20.
