Rahul Gandhi to stay for 8 days during ‘Nyay Yatra’ in Jharkhand

Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi will stay for eight days in Jharkhand covering 13 districts and 804 Kms of distance during his Nyay Yatra scheduled to start on January 14 from Manipur. The Congress leader will enter Jharkhand from Koderma district and will go to Odisha from Simdega ending his journey in the State.

The decision was taken in an important meeting held in Delhi under the chairmanship of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge with the general secretaries, in-charges, state Congress presidents and leaders of the Congress Legislature Party of the All India Congress Committee. Jharkhand Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, State Congress President Rajesh Thakur and Congress Legislature Party leader Alamgir Alam were also present in this meeting.

In the meeting, discussions were mainly held regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024 and Bharat Joda Nyay Yatra to be started from Manipur by Rahul Gandhi from 14th January 2024.

State Congress Committee's general secretary cum media in-charge Rakesh Sinha said that Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will start from Manipur and enter Jharkhand via Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, West Bengal and Bihar. This yatra will cover 804 km in Jharkhand and will pass through 13 districts. Rahul Gandhi will stay in Jharkhand for eight days. He said that this yatra will pass through 15 states and 110 districts and create public awareness on issues like social justice and basic questions of the people like inflation, unemployment, pitiful condition of farmers and labourers, caste census etc.

According to the information, Rahul's journey will pass through Koderma, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla and Simdega in Odisha.

Many senior Congress leaders are engaged in the campaign to take the Yatra to their districts. The yatra will start from January 14 via Manipur and end in Mumbai on March 20. During this period the Yatra will cover 14 states and 85 districts. During this period, Rahul Gandhi will travel more than 6 thousand 200 kilometers by bus and on foot.
