In a significant move towards fostering women’s empowerment, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has announced its plan to enhance its outreach among women through a major conference on women’s coordination to be held in Lucknow.
Scheduled as the Grand Summit of Women’s Coordination, the event will witness the participation of 2,500 women from the enlightened class. The organisation has extended invitations to women from diverse backgrounds, emphasising inclusivity and representation.
The RSS has christened its new branch as ‘Mahila Samanvay’ (Women’s Coordination), underscoring its commitment to promoting a coordinated approach to women’s issues. The initiative kick-started with enthusiasm, drawing women from regions like Lucknow, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Bahraich.
Initiating from these districts, the movement has gained momentum, with over 42 committees established in Lucknow alone, showcasing a widespread presence in metropolitan areas.
These committees aim to address and coordinate various aspects related to women’s well-being, thereby fostering a supportive network.
Furthermore, plans are underway to host Motherhood Power Conferences to be organised in conjunction with the women’s coordination efforts. The conferences aim to provide a platform for women to share experiences, discuss challenges, and collectively work towards enhancing the role of women in society.
The organisation’s vision extends beyond Lucknow, as preparations are in progress to host women’s coordination conferences in every district. This ambitious plan signifies a concerted effort to empower women across the nation, fostering a sense of unity and strength in the pursuit of gender equality.
