People belonging to the Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste in the State will now get pension from the age of 50 under the Universal Pension Scheme. At the same time, the money received as commission by ration dealers will also be increased soon. Chief Minister Hemant Soren made the announcement today at the state level function organized at Morhabadi Ground on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the state government. On this occasion, the CM said that you all have entrusted me with the responsibility of running the state. The CM said that the journey of the last 4 years has been very challenging for the government formed under my leadership. When our government was formed, a global pandemic Covid-19 engulfed us. The war against Covid-19 continued for 2 years. After getting some relief from this, we had to face drought. In the midst of such a disaster, the government continued to work 24 hours for the life and livelihood of everyone including the poor, labourers, deprived and helpless people. The Covid management system we created to provide relief to people in these difficult circumstances was appreciated by the country and the world. Coming out of all these adverse circumstances, today we are giving a new impetus to development.
The CM said that our government is running from villages. We are strengthening the rural economy, because the state cannot become strong without strengthening the villages. In this series, in the years 2021, 2022 and 2023, your problems were solved by organizing camps in Panchayat under the program “Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar Aapke Dwar”. Benefits of welfare schemes were given. Due to the enthusiasm seen among the people of the state regarding this programme, now camps will be organized in the Panchayat every year. Officials will reach your home and solve your problems. During this time we will come to you with new schemes.
The CM informed the public about the work of the last 20 years and the work and achievements of his government in the last 4 years. He said that the previous governments had invalidated 11 lakh ration cards. Our government has issued 20 lakh green ration cards and is working to provide them free of cost by purchasing grains at market prices. Now pulses will also be given to ration card holders. Apart from this, only 8 lakh people were getting pension in the last 20 years. We have worked to connect all the eligible candidates of the state with the pension scheme in 4 years. In the last 20 years, only eight lakh farmers had received Kisan Credit Cards. We have issued 20 lakh Kisan Credit Cards in just 4 years and even today the work of connecting farmers to KCC is going on.
The CM said that the government is committed to providing better and quality education to children. In this series, 80 Schools of Excellence have been opened in the first phase and their number will be increased to 5 thousand in the coming days. To ensure that girls do not leave their studies due to financial constraints, they are being given Rs 40 thousand under the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana. Now daughters will not only get degrees, but will also become engineers, doctors and officers. Apart from this, all the students from class 10th to 12th will be given a Guruji Credit Card so that they can improve their future. All the hostels of the Welfare Department are also being renovated. Now the students living here should only worry about their studies, the state government will also make arrangements for their food and drink. Not only this, the government is also giving 100% scholarship for higher education abroad. At the same time, the government is also providing financial assistance for preparing for competitive exams and doing various courses.
The CM said that avenues for appointments have opened in the state. Thousands of vacant posts in government departments have been filled. At the same time, the recruitment process is going on for more than 45 thousand posts, whereas offer letters have been given to more than 50,000 youth in private institutions also. Our government has also made a law that it will be mandatory for all the institutions and companies in Jharkhand to give 75 per cent jobs to the locals.
The CM also said that the youth who want to be self-employed are being provided capital under the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme. Till now, more than 12 thousand youth are taking advantage of this scheme and starting their own business. He also said that the government is trying to ensure that everyone can stand on their feet. For this they will be given all facilities and assistance.
The CM said that the government has schemes for all other classes and sections including tribals, Dalits, minorities, backward classes, women, youth, elderly, disabled, farmers, labourers. All you have to do is choose the plans you need and empower yourself by taking advantage of them. The Chief Minister said that the government is also doing many works in the direction of women empowerment. So far, Rs 8000 crore has been given to the women associated with Sakhi Mandals to make them self-reliant.
The CM said that the State Government is working rapidly towards strengthening the infrastructure as it opens the door to development. He said that today about 15 thousand kilometers of rural roads are being constructed at a cost of Rs 6 thousand crores. At the same time, high quality roads are being built with Rs 7 thousand crores.
The Chief Minister said that the youth of Jharkhand are moving forward. Jharkhand will become 25 years old in the year 2025. We have set a target that in the next two years, we will make Jharkhand so powerful that it will progress on its own and there will be no need to take help from anyone. Your cooperation is very important in this.
